Garcia's double-double lands him Liga MB Hoops Agents Player of the Week award

28-year old center Brayan Garcia (200-C-1998) had a very impressive game in the last round for league's best team AD Isidro Metapan and receives a Hoops Agents Liga MB Player of the Week award for round 10.
He had a double-double of 31 points and 13 rebounds, while his team beat San Salvador (#9, 2-7) 100-94. It allowed Metapan to consolidate first place in the Salvadorean Liga MB. Metapan has a very good season and are considered to have a run for the championship title. They improved their record to 9-1. In the team's last game Garcia had a remarkable 66.7% from 2-point range and got five three-pointers out of 8 attempts. It's his second year at Metapan and it's hard to imagine this team without him.

Second best performed player last round was Yoel Cubillas (204-F-1994). He is Cuban forward in his first season at Metapan. In the last game Cubillas recorded an impressive double-double of 27 points and 18 rebounds. Of course together with Garcia he helped AD Isidro Metapan with another comfortable win outscoring the lower-ranked Santa Tecla (#8, 2-6) 94-70. Of course Metapan still keep the league's top spot. His team belongs to top of the standings with 9-1 record and is considered one of the main candidates for the league title. Cubillas is a newcomer at Metapan and quickly became one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 23.0ppg (#2). He also registered 7.0 boards per game.

Third place about best performers goes to center William Benjamin (207-C-1993) of Ahuachapan BC (#10). Benjamin scored 26 points and grabbed 14 rebounds (!!!). He was a key player of Ahuachapan, leading his team to a 92-86 win against Brujos (1-8). Ahuachapan can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have rather bad season and 1-8 record places them close to the bottom of the standings. Benjamin has individually a great season in El Salvador. After only 5 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 21.4ppg (9th best).
